Part Time Teller
The Northumberland National Bank is seeking a part time teller for our Northumberland office, who is high energy, has a high level of organizational skills, who is detail oriented, with a perennial “can-do” attitude and who displays professionalism at all times. Candidates will be responsible for managing a teller drawer; ensuring transactions are completed in accordance with all established procedures. They must learn products and services to conduct business efficiently and effectively and must have good communication skills to deliver excellent customer service, answer questions and solve problems. Pay would be commensurate with background and prior work experience although not required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months of cash handling experience
- Customer service/good communication skills
- Can pass a background and credit check. Must have the ability to become bonded.
Average 28 hrs/week. Hours of operation are approximately 8am to 5 or 6pm, M-F, and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. Should be available to work any of those hours!

The Northumberland National Bank is currently looking for a Branch Manager/Lender for our Main Office, Northumberland. NNB is looking for a candidate who displays good leadership skills and the ability to motivate others, with a minimum of 7+ years of banking experience with management and/or lending experience preferred.
SUMMARY
Responsible for the daily operation of the branch office. Incumbent is responsible for the overall effort to develop business and grow the branch in terms of deposits and loans and generate revenue to meet branch budget goals. Supervise and develop staff in a manner that assures the bank achieves its Mission Statement, Vision Statement and Core Values. Provide positive leadership that reinforces our commitment to being the best community bank in the region. Responsible for providing direct and indirect personal loans, real estate loans, and small business by accepting, analyzing and acting on loan applications. Responsible for developing new business by making calls on prospective customers and referring business to other departments in the bank.
Typical Schedule
Full-time; Minimum of 40 hours per week required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Role is responsible for managing 4+ branch employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review and maintain a work schedule to assure adequate staffing;
- Make or review payment decisions daily;
- Periodic review of vault cash;
- Act as dual control for the ATM and vault;
- Perform necessary operational procedures as outlined by the Monthly Security Report and deliver said report to the SVP, Branch Administration by the 10th of each month following the month of the report;
- Be aware of all teller outages of $100 or greater and send a report to the SVP of Branch Administration within 24 hours;
- Attend monthly Branch Manger’s Meeting and share appropriate information with staff within one week of receiving minutes;
- Attend lender meetings and secondary market mortgage meetings as scheduled;
- Responsible for making sure that the branch is in compliance with bank policy and procedure as well as regulatory compliance;
- Oversee compliance with the teller performance policy and use this information to manage staff;
- Complete evaluations and coaching on a quarterly basis, which involves individualized goals, as appropriate;
- Open all categories of new accounts as needed and meet with existing customers as needed while always striving to achieve the bank’s Mission Statement, Vision Statement and Core Values;
- Promote Wealth Management services including Trust and NNBFS;
- Attend all training opportunities provided by the bank and encourage and recommend training for staff as available or as needed;
- Lead and mentor staff by example in the areas of personal appearance, job knowledge, customer service, continuing education, professionalism and involvement in community service;
- Participate in and/or complete all necessary bank training and see that all staff members participate and complete all necessary bank training as well;
- Call on new or existing customers to help develop customer relationships, promoting products and providing problem resolution when necessary;
- Represent the Bank throughout the year at civic and community events;
- Report to Bank management changes in our market to adequately protect our competitive advantage and to develop new opportunities;
- Assists in branch budget development and monitors performance toward those goals;
- Meet with loan customers to determine what their needs are for personal loans, real estate loans, rural housing, small business, PHFA and secondary market loans;
- Obtain and review credit reports;
- Spend a significant amount of time on pre-approvals;
- Underwrite and approve applications within approved lending authority;
- Utilize bank software programs and ancillary software programs to process loan applications and determine if customers are eligible for various programs;
- Input loan requests on system;
- Work with local attorneys and realtors to provide the appropriate lending services;
- Turn loans over to Loan Assistant for closing or personally attend the closing with the attorney for real estate loans;
- Responsible for early disclosures, appraisal and recommendation write-ups, flood determination, lien searches, and commitment letters;
- Review and determine collateral release terms and loan modification;
- Review collateral values via online NADA and other resources;
- Present loan requests to Board of Directors;
- Follow up on past dues and assists bank’s Collector, with customer calls when needed, as well as overdrawn deposit accounts and other potential losses;
- Collaborates with Commercial Loan Officer when required;
- Maintain and update information regarding different loan products, especially compliance issues;
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job;
- Required to maintain the strictness of confidentiality in all matters;
- Comply with all company policies and procedures;
- Other administrative duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Partner with the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Management, interacts regularly with the Board of Directors to formulate and implement financial strategies, policies and programs;
- Manage the bank’s finance-related activities, including Merger & Acquisition Analysis, Investor Relations, Financial Management and Reporting, Planning/Budgeting/Forecasting, Investment Portfolio/Treasury Management, Capital/Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk Management, and Tax Management;
- Lead management in the Allowance for Loans and Leases. Work collaboratively with credit management to actively manage these reserves to ensure they are consistently reasonable and meet all accounting, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Directly supervise the Finance/Accounting business unit;
- Serve as member of Executive Management, including providing leadership for all aspects of the Bank. This includes working closely with and supporting initiatives to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Lead the establishment of the annual budget and business plan of the company, including revenue, expense, operating, and capital spending budgets;
- Ensure management accounting tools are being utilized effectively to measure, track, and monitor Product and Product Line Profitability. Work with Department Heads to promote decision-making based on credible information provided by the management accounting function;
- Make presentations to investors;
- Ensure that the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors are provided accurate, timely, and relevant information on the financial performance of the bank;
- Establish an optimal capital structure for the bank. Minimize the cost of capital, while maintaining appropriate regulatory capital ratios and financial flexibility;
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management for the Finance Group, ensuring that it is properly organized, staffed, developed, motivated and compensated;
- Serve as an active member and participant of various Management Committees such as the Asset/Liability Committee;
- Lead all activities related to the external auditors;
- Work with business unit heads to ensure that they are managing resources effectively and efficiently, and within budget and peer ranges;
- Assume a visible role in the company’s marketplace through leadership involvement in selected non-profit, economic development, and professional organizations;

SUMMARY
Assists lender by gathering necessary loan information, processing loan documentation and conducting loan closings for mortgage and installment loans, as needed. This role carries no supervisory duties.
Typical Schedule
Full Time, Monday – Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Flexibility is required to ensure adequate staffing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Review files received from lenders for completeness and accuracy. Review Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosures for accuracy; Contact lenders with questions on incomplete information required to approve a file;
Review agreement of sale for purchases, construction contracts for construction loans, and deeds for refinances for accuracy;
Review VOEs, W2s, pay stubs, 1099s, tax returns and tax transcripts for accuracy.
Check files for adherence to program guidelines, and preparing files to sell;
Order mortgage insurance, RHS guarantee and PHFA approvals;
Review title insurance commitment prior to closing to be sure of accuracy and clear items which may impact the title of the property;
Update verified income, assets, etc. in Compliance One, DU and / or GUS;
Re-run credit on construction loans at the end of the construction period and evaluate to make sure loan is still saleable;
Occasionally attend closings or CD signings for lenders due to schedule conflicts;
Make sure file meets guidelines of investors, MI companies or RHS guarantee program;
Fund FNMA through ULDD and FHLB loan presentment for funding of secondary market income;
Prepare monthly report of funding to send to DMI;
Help lenders with questions concerning secondary market files;
Continually learn from mortgage team about underwriting and programs the bank has for secondary market customers;
Assist in the preparation of early and closing disclosures for all loan types;
Prepare loan documents, by entering into the system, for application and closings including all types of loans (Real estate, personal loans, credit lines and business loans.);
Order credit reports, lien searches and flood certifications;
Assist in the preparation of loan Commitment Letters;
Prepare and fax attorney requisitions;
Schedule and conduct loan closings as needed;
Notarize mortgages at closings and other notary work as needed, if applicable;
Process and disburse loans; organize loan documents in loan folders, maintain progress check list for each mortgage file, maintain incomplete list for secured loans;
Prepare and send FedEx shipments to secondary market;
Deliver mortgages to local courthouse to be recorded;
Make payoffs to local banks, tax claim office, etc. as needed;
Maintain complete loan files and work to gather necessary documents/information for completion of files;
Image loan documents when needed;
Assists tellers and customers with the processing of loan payments with regards to tran-codes; i.e. late fees, regular payments, principal payments, pay downs and payoffs;
Quote and process loan payoffs;
Correct loan payment errors;
Corrects un-posted items relating to interim interest, loan payments/payoffs as needed;
Make changes to repayment schedules and automatic payments when required as well as having the correct documents signed relating to these changes. Convert customers to coupon book when requested or required making necessary changes to rate, repayment schedule, fee and ordering coupon book;
Do online transfers and loan payments for customers by phone request;
Answer telephone when needed and assist customers with loan information;
