Our Christmas Club gives you two easy options for saving for holiday expenses:
- The customer may make a deposit in person at any time for any amount.
- Automatic Transfer: Payments for a predetermined amount are transferred to the club from your Northumberland National Bank checking or savings account (savings transfers subject to limitations) at a frequency of your choice. The transfers will continue for subsequent years until changed or stopped by the customer.
Christmas Clubs pay out in early October.
All-Purpose Clubs give you an easy option to save for a specific purpose such as a vacation or paying taxes. The club can pay out whatever month you choose.

Save when you spend.
With Savings Made Simple from Norry Bank, you can automate your savings efforts. Every time you swipe your debit card, you can put money in your savings account as well. Save money with every purchase, every day.
How does an automatic savings account work?
When you sign up for Savings Made Simple, we’ll round up your debit card transactions to the next dollar and transfer the difference to the savings account of your choice – Savings, Christmas Club, or All-Purpose Club.
What transactions qualify?
Any debit transaction with cents can be rounded up, so even automatic payments linked to your debit card will qualify, as well as purchases you make online or in stores. You can get groceries or a tank of gas, set up your regular monthly bill payments – they’ll all help you save!
How can I see my savings?
Your savings will be added up in a single transfer each day. So, if your one-day purchases had $1.49 in change that rounded up to the next dollar, we’ll automatically transfer that amount from your checking account to a savings account, the very next day. You don’t have to do a thing – just live your life, and let the savings accumulate.
With Savings Made Simple, every small daily transfer adds up, and you can meet your savings goals without having to worry about a major impact on your budget.
How much does it cost?
There is no charge for enrolling in Savings Made Simple and no monthly maintenance fees associated with the service. This is a free program for NNB customers with a debit MasterCard and an eligible savings account.
How do I enroll?
Sign up is easy – just complete a “Savings Made Simple” enrollment form at your local NNB branch to participate.
*Make sure you have sufficient funds in your checking account to cover daily Savings Made Simple Transfers. (NNB may cancel a Savings Made Simple transfer for a checking account without overdraft services when the transfer would cause an overdraft.)
**If your MasterCard debit card purchase is cancelled or reversed, the corresponding Savings Made Simple transfer will remain in your designated savings account. NNB reserves the right to cancel the Savings Made Simple transfer at any time.
***Savings Made Simple is available only on MasterCard debit cards linked to your NNB checking account.
**** If the checking account with NNB’s Savings Made Simple service is closed, or the savings or account receiving the Savings Made Simple transfer is closed, the Savings Made Simple service will be canceled. You must notify the bank in writing if you wish to cancel the Savings Made Simple service.
