A trust is a legal agreement between three parties - Grantor, Trustee and Beneficiary(ies). The Grantor transfers ownership of assets/property into the Trust and the Trustee manages the assets/property for the benefit of the Beneficiary(ies).

NNB Trust & Investments offers the following Trustee Services:

  • Revocable Trusts (also known as a Living Trust or Inter Vivos Trust) – a Trust where provisions can be altered or canceled depending on the wishes of the Grantor or the originator of the Trust, but only while the Grantor is living.
  • Irrevocable Trusts – a Trust where the Grantor cannot change the Trust after creation.
  • Testamentary Trusts – a Trust that is created within a Last Will and Testament that specifies how the decedent’s assets will be held in Trust for their beneficiary(ies) after their passing.
  • Revocable or Irrevocable Family Trusts – a Trust that families can use to create a financial legacy for years to come.
  • Asset Protection Trusts – An Irrevocable Trust that protects assets from being used to pay for long-term care expenses.
  • Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts – a Trust created during the insured’s lifetime that owns and controls a term or permanent life insurance policy(ies).
  • Tax By-Pass Trusts – a Trust that transfers wealth across generations while minimizing estate taxes.
  • Special Needs Trusts – an Irrevocable Trust that is created to maintain the quality of life of a person with special needs while maintaining any public benefits for the special needs individual.
  • Spendthriftrusts – a Trust that helps ensure that beneficiaries are taken care of by protecting the assets within the Trust and also allowing the creator to specify how their assets/property are distributed.
  • Charitable Trusts – a Trust established to benefit charitable organization(s).
